Robin Can Fit on All Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

Robin in HSR is a new 5-star Physical Harmony character who works best on teams that focus on follow-up attacks. This guide will break down the best Robin teams in Honkai: Star Rail and explain which comps benefit the most from her Support skills.

How to Use Robin Teams in HSR

A good way to think about Robin is that she’s similar to Ruan Mei but focuses more on buffing the overall DMG output of the party, especially when she’s with follow-up attackers like Jing Yuan or Dr. Ratio. Her Skill increases all allies’ DMG for 3 turns (like Ruan Mei). Her Talent is a passive Crit DMG increase for all allies. However, her Ultimate is where she shines.

When Robin uses her Ultimate, she increases everyone’s ATK based on her own. She can also deal with Physical DMG (equating to a portion of her ATK) after every attack by an ally. This does not include DoT. The reason why Robin shines on follow-up attack teams is because of her Bonus Trace, Impromptu Flourish. This increases the Crit DMG of all allies’ follow-up attacks when she’s in her Concerto state.

Here Are Some of the Best Robin Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

  • Dr. Ratio | Robin | Topaz | Aventurine
Robin and Topaz are both follow-up attack supporters, albeit in different ways. If you want to use someone else, you can also replace Topaz with either a Nihility (to boost the chances of Dr. Ratio’s follow-up attack) or another support like Ruan Mei or Tingyun (to buff Dr. Ratio). While Aventurine is a sustain, he also has a follow-up attack that triggers pretty easily when with a follow-up attack team, which works well with Robin’s Concerto.
  • Jing Yuan | Sparkle | Robin | Huohuo
As a note, Sparkle and Huohuo are characters that I personally run with Jing Yuan to boost his follow-up attack and general damage output. If you don’t have them, you can use other characters like Tingyun or Natasha. Like most follow-up attackers, the bulk of Jing Yuan’s DMG comes from his Lightning Lord, so the extra Crit DMG buff and Physical DMG from Robin’s Concerto can really help him out.
  • Kafka | Black Swan | Robin | Huohuo
Unlike characters such as Ruan Mei or Tingyun, only part of Robin’s kit can help her out with a DoT team. However, the ATK and DMG buffs she can offer are really useful in boosting DoT damage. Because she is a Physical character, she can also inflict Bleeding when she Breaks an enemy, thus providing one extra source of DoT for Kafka to proc.
  • Jingliu | Tingyun | Robin | Huohuo
Like in the above DoT example, just because Robin synergizes well with follow-up attack teams doesn’t mean you’re stuck putting her on one forever. Because of how universal Robin’s buffs are, you can use her as a support with any combination of characters. If you’re using teams like this in Simulated Universe, you can also get the Champion’s Dinner: Cat’s Cradle Blessing to turn Ultimates into follow-up attacks if you really want to get that extra 25% Crit DMG boost.
  • Sushang | Robin | Silver Wolf | Natasha
This is a mono-Physical team that uses Silver Wolf to plant Physical Weakness into enemies without it. Running mono-Type teams like this can help if you are using a Planar Ornament Set like Penacony, Land of the Dreams. It also takes away the necessity of building teams around your enemies. The downside of a mono-Type team is that you need Silver Wolf to use it reliably and she’s a limited 5-star character.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. You can only pull for Robin when the “Just Intonation” banner is live.
