Rock Pikmin Tops Unofficial Pikmin 4 Popularity Poll

Dengeki Online published the results of of its unofficial popularity poll for Pikmin 4. The Rock Pikmin has emerged victorious over its peers. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]

We only know the top five winners, and Dengeki Online has included comments from people explaining why they voted for these characters. Here are the results of the Pikmin 4 popularity poll:

1. Rock Pikmin
   Voters particularly like their voices, as well as how round they are.
2. Blue Pikmin
   Voters really like how “stupid” it looks thanks to its mouth, as well as how brave they are when they swim around even in areas that contain a Waterwraith.
3. Purple Pikmin
   Voters like how it’s both cute and powerful. They also cite that the way they slowly walk around when they’re carrying something is adorable.
4. Red Pikmin
   Voters generally like that Red Pikmins are cute and versatile. One voter in particular commented that they’re really fond of the Red Pikmin’s nose, and that they want to pick one up by it and swing it around. Then they want to feed it syrup after it returns to them.
5. Oatchi
   Most people like Oatchi for being a space dog and having a cute, pudgy design. One voter liked its tail while another liked its eyes.

Pikmin 4 originally came out in July 2023 as the fourth entry in the Pikmin series. Like previous entries, it focuses on you playing as an alien who can command Pikmin to explore, fight, solve puzzles, and find treasure. Ice PIkmin and Glow Pikmin, as well as Oatchi, are new additions to help the player with their missions.
