This news is going up as a rumor and with hesitation on our part. Scans of Famitsu have not surfaced, but a poster on the popular Japanese message board 2ch reportedly typed out the contents of this week’s issue of Famitsu. Please take this with a grain of salt until we can get further confirmation.
Namco Bandai is making another Macross game for PSP. This week’s issue of Famitsu has a feature on Macross Triangle Frontier. The big feature is supposedly "campus mode" where players create an original character to use during the game’s campaign.
Players will interact with characters from Macross Frontier. Specifically, Famitsu says there are event scenes with Ranka Lee, Sheryl Nome, and Clan Clang dressed in gym clothes and swimsuits.
The PSP game will include items from a movie like the Tornado Pack. Namco Bandai is actually bundling a limited edition of Macross Triangle Frontier with a movie, but the report did not specify which film. Macross Triangle Frontier is slated for February 3, 2011 in Japan.
While scans aren’t out, we discovered a trademark for Macross Triangle Frontier back in July filed by Namco Bandai.
