The third title in Warner Bros. and Rocksteady’s series of Batman: Arkham games will be a prequel, according to a report on the website of Variety magazine. The game will allegedly focus on Batman’s first meeting with the Joker.

Variety describe the game as a “highly stylized” title, based on the Silver Age of DC’s comics from the 1950s, and mention the possibility of an appearance from members of the Justice League, which Batman first helped found during this period.

Provided this third game does feature the Joker once more, it’s likely that Mark Hamill will not be returning to voice the character, as previously stated by him. Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have made no official announcements regarding a third Batman: Arkham game yet, but we’ll keep an eye out for news.
