Sakura Revolution Will Have a Limited Offline Version After Shutdown

Sega has provided more details on the limited offline version of Sakura Revolution. The company previously teased that the outgoing mobile game would not disappear completely despite its short lifespan. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

The post-shutdown offline version will retain a limited amount of features. Existing players can continue interacting with the game’s characters. Other than interactions on the Camp screen, players will still have access to the gallery and can replay story events.

To gain access to this offline version, existing Sakura Revolution players must completely download preparation data sized at around 5.2GB in total. The files will be available from June 16, 2021, at 17:00 JST, to June 30, 2021, at 12:59 JST. Right after the game’s online services shut down on June 30, 2021, players can access the offline version.

Sakura Revolution is a mobile game based on Sega’s Sakura Wars franchise made by Fate/Grand Order developer DelightWorks. The game officially went live on December 15, 2020. Set in the year of Taisho 100 (2011), characters in this title fight by wearing musume-styled mecha rigs in lieu of piloting spiricle mechs. Sega announced in April 2021 that it will shut down the game on June 30, 2021. This title will have lasted for only around half a year.

The online free-to-play mobile game Sakura Revolution is available on Android and iOS devices in Japan until June 30, 2021.
