The official artwork for a new Sanrio project called Fragaria Memories appeared on social media. Three of Sanrio’s popular mascots, Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, and Badtz-Maru, inspired three anime boys in costumes based on the characters. Sanrio opened an official website for the project, as well as an official YouTube channel. Further details about it will be announced in the future.
The concept of the project is as follows. Fragaria is a land filled with purity, love, and friendship. Recently, this land has become threatened by mysterious forces known as seeds. In response to the wishes of Hello Kitty and her friends, the knights of Fragaria from the red, blue, and black continents have risen to save this land and protect their lords.
The knight of Hello Kitty is known as Hallritt. He is an earnest Fragarian with a strong sense of justice. He is known to have a bright personality, just like the sun. His voice actor will be Gakuto Kajiwara, best known for providing the voice of Asta in the anime series Black Clover.
The knight serving Cinnamoroll is Cielomort. He is a young genius with a natural charisma that attracts people. He has rapidly developed the largest and most powerful kingdom in the past three years alone. His daring actions contrast his gentle demeanor. He is voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki, who also voices Kazuha from Genshin Impact.
The last of the knights that have been revealed is named Badobarm. He works in the service of Badtz-Maru. He is a self-sacrificing man with a strong sense of duty. Despite his position as a knight, in truth, he has ambitions to one day become king. The crocodile-shaped fairy always on his shoulder is named “Tama.” He is voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi, who also voiced Olaf from the Japanese dub of Frozen.
Fragaria Memories will have an exhibit at Animate Girls Festival 2023 at Sunshine City Ikebukuro, Tokyo from November 3-4, 2023.
