Season-Shifting Magic Makes For Intricate Battles & Puzzles In Ary And The Secret Of Seasons

Is there a wall of ice blocking the path? Enemies wearing thick coats? Creating an orb of Summer heat can solve those issues in Ary and the Secret of Seasons, a 3D action/exploration game about a young girl who can control the seasons.

Ary’s brother was supposed to become the Guardian of Winter in the world of Valdi, a place where the seasons are in turmoil. Strange events lead to Ary taking on that role instead, inheriting a power that will let her create domes of the various seasons, from the heat of Summer to the rains of Spring to the frigid Winter. With this power, and some help from the other three Guardians of Seasons, she’ll beat back the forces that have thrown the seasons out of their natural order.

Players will use Ary’s powers for puzzles or combat. In a fight, players can assess their foes, creating a Winter dome to make shirtless enemies shiver in the cold, or a dome of Summer to overheat enemies in coats or those used to more frigid climates. This will stagger them, giving her an opening to use her little sword, striking with quick combos and then rushing out of their enemy’s range.

For puzzles, players may come across ice blocking their path, or plant growth keeping them from accessing items. Ary is able to use up to three domes at once, and players will be expected to use all of them to get certain items out of the way, or change the shape of the environment and items so that she can more easily manipulate them.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons is currently in development.
