Sega helps you catch liars with your DS

Sega thought of a brilliant way to use the DS’ microphone. Instead of making a game where you need to blow in it or shout colors Onjou Kanjou Souteiki: Kokoro Scan uses voice recognition technology to test your stress level. Similar to Brain Age, Kokoro Scan can track your progress over a period of time to see how you are dealing with daily stresses. Probably more interesting is that Kokoro Scan can be used as a cheap and portable lie detector. It can automatically measure the tension in a person’s speech and determine if a person is telling the truth. I wonder if Kokoro Scan will work with other languages. It probably won’t work though since pitch varies in different languages, but maybe it’s worth checking out when Kokoro Scan gets a release this August.
