While "sengoku" is in the game’s title, Sengoku Tactics actually takes place in the future. Developer Amzy set Sengoku Tactics in the year 20XX and in the future foot soldiers can shoot down planes, as seen in the video above. Sengoku Tactics has a rock-paper-scissors balance where planes can take out tanks, but are weak against armored guys with machine guns. When you’re not shooting enemies you can gather resources and add factories to build units.
Sengoku Tactics lets players customize their units by equipping items like HP boosting armor and tactics that increase mining speed. Sengoku Tactics doesn’t have direct online play, but you can share codes that represent your customized army for indirect player vs. player battles.
Sengoku Tactics will be released on DSiWare in January for 500 DSiWare points ($5).
