Senko no Ronde 2 Trailer Shows Off The Shooter/Fighter Hybrid Reboot In Action

G.rev’s arcade fighter/shooter series is getting a new game in Senko no Ronde 2 for PS4 and PC, and we got a look at its gameplay as well as some of its characters in a new trailer by Chara-Ani.

 

Senko no Ronde 2 is a reboot of Senko no Ronde DUO, with a “reassembled” story mode from DUO with new voice recordings and brushed up full-HD images. There will be competitive network battle modes with “Online Versus Mode” as well as local play “Offline Versus Mode.” There’s also an “Arcade Mode” that can be played while waiting for online matchups.

About the Senko no Ronde series:

Senko no Ronde is developer G.Rev’s unique mix of bullet hell shooting and fighting game genres whose ecelectic mix of characters, involved scenario and entrancing bullet ballet drew a lot of attention.

 

Senko no Ronde / Senko no Ronde SP (Arcade)

Released in Japanese arcades in April 2005, the inaugural entry into the series featured 8 characters piloting their Landers (battle robots) in 1 on 1 battles. SP was an upgrade released in August 2006.

 

Senko no Ronde Rev.X (Xbox 360)

Released in July 2006 in Japan and internationally as WarTech, this was a port of the previous arcade game with a major graphical overhaul and additional story elements.

 

Senko no Ronde DUO (Arcade, Xbox 360)

Released as a Japan-only sequel in 2009 (arcade) and 2010 (Xbox 360). Maintaining the previous game’s unique mix of shooting and fighting, it added new characters, new mechanics alongside across the board improvements to the game.

 

Senko no Ronde 2 releases in Japan on September 7, 2017 for PlayStation 4, and it’ll also release worldwide on Steam on September 6.
