Atlus released a new video showing the improved field graphics for their upcoming 3DS RPG, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, with some comparisons to the original game that first released in Japan in October 2009 on Nintendo DS.

According to director Eiji Ishida who shared the tweet, the footage may look like everything has been remade, but he says that the polygon models from the original title are untouched and being used for Strange Journey Redux.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux launches in Japan on October 26, 2017 for Nintendo 3DS. The game launches in North America and Europe in early 2018.
