Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove Collection And Update Delayed By Several Months

Recommended Videos

For one last time, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is getting a delay for the physical editions, digital update, and Treasure Trove 3-pack amiibo. The collection was originally planned for an April 9, 2019 release date.

Yacht Club Games estimates that the delay will be several months at most. The reason cited for the delay is that a bit more time is needed to make sure that everything can be released “for a polished and complete finale”. The reason why the amiibo have been delayed alongside the game itself is because the update providing amiibo support is connected to the King of Cards campaign.

A new date will be announced only when everything is 100% ready across the board. Yacht Club Games has stated that they plan on adopting this “no date until we have a date” style in the future as well.

Shovel Knight is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and PC. The physical edition of Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is coming out for PS4 and Switch with Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown also set to come out on the same day.
