Square Enix launched their latest smartphone game SINoALICE by creative director Yoko Taro yesterday, but the game appears to be having a rough start, reminiscent of Fate/Grand Order’s debut.

According to the updates from Hachima, after a lengthy maintenance, SINoALICE was expected to be playable at around 10:40am earlier this morning in Japan. ‘

However, after 20 minutes following the maintenance, players reported connectivity problems while the game was available to play for some between 11:30am through 12:00pm. Since then, it’s been giving players problems connecting, so those of you who have the game and wondering why you can’t connect—you’re not alone.

Some fans even brought back a look at Fate/Grand Order’s launch, where the super popular smartphone game had its own share of difficulties at the start. The chart shows “maintenance time” in red, “playable time” in blue, and markers showing “the fabled 18 minutes” and “the miraculous two minutes” for the times it was available.

SINoALICE is available in Japan for iPhone and Android.
