Sidequest Studios and Eastasiasoft are taking a break from space shooters and heading to fantasy realms. Their next project is a strategy RPG called Rainbow Moon.
Similar to other strategy RPGs players will move characters on an isometric grid. Rainbow Moon has fifteen types of terrain (mountain, snow, desert, savannah, mud, etc.) and six main characters. Eastasiasoft claims the story mode will take roughly 25 hours to complete, but if you tackle sidequests and develop all of the characters fully Rainbow Moon has 100 hours of gameplay. Rainbow Moon keeps track of your progress with detailed online stats.
Apologies if you were hoping for story details. Eastasia soft hasn’t said anything about the plot or the characters. Although, we have concept art for a handful of them. There’s plenty of time for reveals since Rainbow Moon is slated for a Q4 2011 release as a PlayStation Network download.
