Streets of Fury was originally released on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel way back in 2009. Since then, it has been expanded upon for a Steam release under the new title Streets of Fury: Extended Edition.

As the title alludes to, Streets of Fury is a classic, side-scrolling beat ‘em up that mirrors the style of play you’d expect to find in Streets of Rage. It’s set in the streets of Paris and has 15 playable characters with a range of unique special moves, furies, cancels, chain combos, air combos, and dodges. The claim from the developer Guard Crush Games is that it has the “depth of a versus fighting game in a side-scrolling beat-em-up.”

As with the original version of the game, this Extended Edition supports up to four player co-op with competitive play—you’re after the biggest score. It also adds a new soundtrack as well as a bunch of new unlockable game modes including Alternate Story mode, Versus mode, Survival mode, and Challenge mode.
