It looks like Hudson had a party and one of the games at their event was Omega Five. There is an interesting partnership behind its development, Natsume (the people behind Harvest Moon) and Hudson teamed up to make this side scrolling shooter. No flying farmers are found in Omega Five, but there are girls with guns. Game|Life explains:

Imagine an auto-scrolling space shooter like Gradius, except you're controlling people instead of spaceships. The three different characters that we could play in the demo were a gun-toting girl with jetpacks, a samurai riding a hoverboard with his faithful dog, and a giant muscle-bound dude. Even though the game is really early — they're still polishing up the Xbox Live Arcade demo, which is what we were messing around with — it felt pretty tight.

Gradius-like? A samurai on a hoverboard? I can’t wait to see this on Xbox Live Arcade!
