Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 Spin Dashes On To Consoles This Month

Sega is ready to release Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1. The downloadable game arrives on the iPhone OS first with a release slated for October 7. Wii gets the game next on October 11. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 rolls on to PlayStation Network on October 12 and when Microsoft updates Xbox Live a day later, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 will be available for Xbox 360.

Pricing for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is quite scattered in Japan. The game costs 900 yen ($10) on iTunes, 1,000 Wii Points ($10 or $12, if you factor currency exchange), 1,300 yen ($15) on PlayStation Network, or 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15). Microsoft Points are more expensive in Japan than North America so the 1,200 points cost roughly 1,800 yen, which equates to a Jackson and a Washington ($21).

 

In North America, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 costs 1500 Wii Points ($15), 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15) or $14.99 on PlayStation Network.
