Sonic the Hedgehog is no stranger to crossovers. The blue blur saved the day in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and is an icon in Phantasy Star Online. His next stop is… Namco Bandai’s drumming game Taiko no Tatsujin.

Sega lent tunes from Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 for the iPhone/iPad game Takio no Tatsujin Plus. A five song pack includes the melody from the downloadable game plus four other video game tunes for players to drum to. While you tap to the beat, Sonic and Eggman’s robotic creations run on the bottom screen.

This music pack was made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Taiko no Tatsujin and the 20th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. While the base pack of Taiko no Tatsujin Plus is free, this game music pack costs 600 yen ($7.40).
