Sony Makes New PS3 Bundles For North America And Japan

Sure, the PlayStation 4 is coming, but there are plenty of awesome games for PlayStation 3. Sony made new bundles for North America and Japan. What’s interesting is how different the packages are.

The Legacy Bundle is geared towards gamers with copies of Gran Turismo 5 XL, inFamous 2, a 30 day voucher for PlayStation Plus, and a console with a 500 GB hard drive for $299. Meanwhile, Japan is getting a PlayStation 3 HDD Recorder Pack which includes the Tivo-like Torne software and a 250 GB console for 27,980 yen ($280). The HDD recorder pack is scheduled to come out on July 11.

 

Even though it the Torne pack has a smaller hard drive, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has been marketing the PS3 as a digital video recorder in Japan while PS3 is pushed as a pure gaming machine here.
