While Rhythm Heaven Megamix has yet to receive worldwide release dates, the Japanese version of the game has been available for almost a year. The title has over 100 musical minigames, 70 of which are taken from previous Rhythm Heaven games, and Josh Thomas, from The Bit Block, has put together an hour and a half long video going through the Japanese version of the game.
The Bit Block’s Rhythm Heaven Megamix video begins with a look at Rabbit Jump, which originally appeared in Rhythm Tengoku. In this minigame, a rabbit hops on sea creatures, like whales, across an ocean. He then goes to Chameleon, a new game where players press a button to make a chameleon eat bugs. He then goes into Return of Slam Dunked, another new game in which players control a blue puddle/blob/thing on the ground and help it dunk fruit and balls into basketball hoops. Additional peeks at more minigames follow.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in both North America and Europe in 2016. It is immediately available in Japan as Rhythm Tengoku: The Best+.
