After the Nintendo 3DS system update, scheduled for the evening of June 6 in North America, Nintendo and mega electronics retailer Best Buy will roll out SpotPass stations. SpotPass allows 3DS owners to automatically download content like leaderboards, ghost data, and other enhancements for 3DS games just by walking past a SpotPass zone.

This partnership will bring SpotPass service to 1,000 Best Buy stores. While Nintendo did not announce specific content. SpotPass at Best Buy will have movie trailers, "gaming extras" and vague "exclusive offers."
