The RPG giant is searching for new talent to help develop new battle systems, stories and games. Unfortunately you have to be in Tokyo to take the job and with a meager salary of 900 yen ($7.50) an hour is probably not worth relocating for. With a wage that low there is only one group of people Square-Enix is going to bring in, students. It is an interesting plan, bound to bring in young developers looking to get a head start. Also a group of fresh minds might bring in a new intellectual property or two, which could make the entire project worth it. This brings up an interesting strategy, should North American studios try a similar tactic and open their doors for new ideas?
