Square Enix One Step Closer To World Domination With Eidos Acquisition

Square Enix didn’t buy Eidos just for Tomb Raider. The acquisition quadruples their development studios and gives the house of Final Fantasy a huge presence in Europe.

In addition to using Eidos content like Deux Ex and Gex Square Enix plans to share technology between branches. Theoretically, the next Tomb Raider could be powered by Crystal Tools, the engine used by Final Fantasy XIII.
