Square Enix Trademarks Chocobo Run! In Europe

Recommended Videos

Square Enix trademarked “Chocobo Run! in Europe, but if the name sounds familiar, it could be related to the Final Fantasy Brave Exvius spinoff game on Facebook that has players race against friends.

The Facebook game, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius: Chocobo Run released earlier this month as a Facebook Messenger game for mobile devices. The game is inspired by Brave Exvius, and it is a running game with Chocobos where players can build parties, perform special back flips and long jumps to win against friends or single-player challenges.

As for the trademark, it is simply Chocobo Run! minus the Final Fantasy Brave Exvius part in the title, so it could end up being something completely different (Chocobo Racing, anyone?), but more than likely for a standalone version of the Facebook Messenger game for smartphones.
