Square Enix shared the latest information on Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness with details and screenshots highlighting some support characters, battle system, and a couple dungeons.
Gunther (CV: Hiroshi Tsuchida)
Age: 26
Weapon: Hand-to-hand
Victor’s subordinate who is part of the Kingdom of Resulia’s Central Resulia Military Special Forces’ Spec Ops group. When the group are out on an operation, he takes the important role of always being the first one in the front. He has a bit of a mischievous and inexperienced part of him, but he’s well-trusted and has high expectations from Victor and his senior officers.
Hana (CV: Hana Takeda)
Age: 22
Weapon: Staff
A subordinate of Victor’s, who takes on special operations even at the young age of 22. She’s talented in Signeturgy, and once worked with Fiore at the Kingdom of Langdauq in Signeturgy research. She joins Resulia’s army as a way to prove her own abilities. She’s a proper young lady with speech and mannerism to show for it.
Daks (CV: Tokuyoshi Kawashima)
Age: 40
Weapon: Bowgun
Daks is from the same hometown as Victor and also works in the same special forces group. He’s older than Victor, but he respects him as his superior. He is an important member to the team with his accurate information that is said to determine the rate of success for their operations. He’s a quiet guy who doesn’t speak that often unless needed.
Next up, is a look at some details and screenshots for characters and battle.
Relia’s mysterious power can suddenly happen in battle, and it can greatly change the battle situation of her surroundings. It appears to be some sort of Signeturgy that can stop enemy movement.
Relia also has a support skill that uses up MP to increase the status of her allies. These buffs include an increase in physical attack from weapons, physical defense up, Signeturgy and magic defense up.
And finally, the below is a look at some new dungeons.
Northern Territory of Sohma:
Located on the northern end of the Kingdom of Resulia. This is also the place of Victor’s hometown. Throughout one year, there’s only about two or three months when it doesn’t snow in these areas. Towards the southern areas, you can overlook the peaks of the Eihidd Mountain range to thoroughly enjoy its peaceful, calm, and beautiful scenery. However, unlike living in Sthal of the south, the winters are so rough that people have to be smart about staying alive.
Western Dakaav Path:
An abandoned mine that is now a path that connects the Kingdom of Resulia and the Kingdom of Trei’kur. It was previously rich in mineral, so a lot of people gathered from different parts. Since the mines were dug out deeply in a complicated manner, nobody remembers the paths since it’s been neglected for so long. Going alone and getting lost could result in losing your life.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will release in Japan on March 31, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game is headed westward in 2016.
