Back in Japan during the reign of the PS1 and Saturn, Sting created a survival horror game called Baroque. The game was set in a post apocalyptic world that was ruined by a heat wave. Found in the center of the world was Nerve Tower, which no one dared to climb. Obviously you’re the one who is going to climb the tower, battle demons and so forth. The art style had pseudo-religious character design and strange, but awesome looking monsters in it. You’re going to climb a tower, but you actually have to “survive” the climb. As you move you deplete stamina points and if you run out you start moving slower, monsters can close in on you and the challenge gets more difficult. The series was absent for a number of years, but its coming back on the Playstation 2. The story starts the same way with an angel telling the amnesiac protagonist that he can clear his guilt by entering Nerve Tower. It looks like the PS2 game is going to be more of a remake than an original game, which might not be so bad since the visuals look much better on the PS2.
