Street Fighter Concert is the Franchise’s First Music Event

Capcom announced a new first for the Street Fighter series: Its first celebratory music event. In commemoration of the franchise’s 35th anniversary, the company is organizing the “Street Fighter 35th Anniversary Live.” The Street Fighter concert is billed as the “first time fans can feel the series’ live music in 35 years.” It’ll also be available for online viewing. The 35th Anniversary Street Fighter concert will take place on January 29, 2023, at Line Cube Shibuya concert hall in Japan. It’ll feature performances from a 35th Anniversary official band, Captune, the official Capcom band, and The Lethal Weapons, a synthpop duo creating music inspired by the ’80s and ’90s. Street Fighter II composer Yoko Shimomura will also attend as a special talk guest.

Earlier in December Capcom posted a partial set list for the event, which includes music from Street Fighter II, III, IV, V, and the next game, Street Fighter 6.

The Street Fighter 35th Anniversary Live Concert will take place on January 29, 2023 in Japan. Online streaming tickets are available through the Zaiko website for 3,500 Yen (about $27 USD), and are open worldwide, with a limited Video on demand option that lasts until February 12, 2023. Street Fighter 6 launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 2, 2023.
