Can you believe Success Corporation is 35 years old? They developed Cotton for the Sega Genesis and Battle Hunter, which Agetec localized for PsOne.

I think more gamers became aware of Success’ existence when Atlus USA published several of their titles. Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, Metal Saga, The Dark Spire, Touch Detective, Rondo of Swords, and Operation Darkness are all from Success.

What is Success doing these days? Mostly making browser games like Shepherd’s Crossing (it’s kind of like Harvest Moon), Hero Chronicle, and Metal Saga: New Frontier.

And what is the strangest game Success released in the past 35 years? I’d say its the Japanese version of Stranglehold. They picked up the John Woo action game from Midway and localized it for Japan. Windy X Windam, their DS fighting game with cameos from the Izuna series, was pretty out there too since it feels kind of broken in single player mode. Cheers to ten more years of Success?
