Super Mario 3D All-Stars Inverted Camera Option Is on the Way

Things might feel more comfortable in Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. Nintendo’s American and European Twitter accounts announced a new Super Mario 3D All-Stars inverted camera patch. As you might imagine, it will let you choose your preferred control scheme come November 2020.

The exact date slightly differs by region, due to time zones. In North America, the Super Mario 3D All-Stars inverted camera patch will roll out on November 16, 2020. In Europe, people will be able to update their games on November 17, 2020.

In each case, going to the options menu will show horizontal and vertical camera options that let you choose between normal or inverted controls. In a few cases, the horizontal and vertical camera options are separate, to better allow people to pick what suits their needs.

Here are screenshots of the Super Mario 3D All-Stars inverted camera options in each game, so you can know ahead of time how things will go. Each one is labeled, so you know which game it applies to.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is available for the Nintendo Switch both digitally and physically. However, it will only be available to purchase physically while supplies last and the digital version will be pulled from the eShop on March 31, 2021.
