Super Mario Run’s Friendly Run Mode Will Let You Race Against Specific Friends

A new mode is now available in Super Mario Run. Friendly Run mode lets you choose specific friends to race against, without using up your Rally Tickets. [Thanks, NintendoEverything.]   Essentially a riskless version of Toad Rally, playing Friendly Run won’t cause you to lose or gain Toads. However, you can only play the new mode a limited amount of times per day, which are dependant on whether or not you have cleared the first world. If you have not cleared the first world, you can only play once a day. Clearing World 1 will let you play three times a day, while clearing World 2 will allow you to play Friendly Run up to five times. As another note, Friendly Run can only be accessed once you have completed the Kingdom Builder tutorial.   Here are the full details on Friendly Run mode from Nintendo:

  • Haven’t cleared World 1: One time

 

  • World 1 cleared: Three times

 

  • World 2 cleared: Five times

  Playing Friendly Run will not increase the number of enemies defeated, coins, and Toads. You can play Friendly Run once you have completed the Kingdom Builder tutorial.”

  Super Mario Run is available for iOS devices and will release for Android in 2017.
