Super Smash Bros. Director Explains Greninja’s Crazy Teleport Move

At the end of last week’s Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct, director Masahiro Sakurai revealed Greninja from Pokémon X/Y as a playable character in the game. Today, Sakurai provided the first tidbit of information on Greninja’s move set.   “Greninja’s sophisticated moves are extremely fun to use once you get used to how it controls,” Sakurai wrote on Miiverse, alongside the screenshot above.   In a follow-up comment, he explained, “The side special attack Shadow Sneak is a move that makes Greninja suddenly disappear and ambush opponents. If you press and hold the button, Greninja will move a greater distance. Another unique feature is you can move Greninja around freely while charging up.”   In case you haven’t already, you can see Greninja in action in the video below.
