Super Smash Bros. Director Sakurai Wanted Geno To Be Playable

Recommended Videos

During an interview with Nintendo Dream, Super Smash Bros. Director Masahiro Sakurai talked a bit about Geno, a character from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. [Thanks, Source Gaming.]

While Geno did eventually join Super Smash Bros. in the form of a Mii costume, Sakurai mentioned in the interview about wanting to have Geno as an actual playable character in Brawl, as well as Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

However, although he only exists as a Mii costume, Sakurai did note Geno’s popularity, especially in regards to older characters, so perhaps there is still a chance we will see the character as playable one day.

Super Smash Bros. is available for the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS.
