Japanese studio GameTomo is developing Superhot JP, an ‘alternate story campaign’ with new Japan-based level aesthetics. It’s currently in development for PlayStation 4 and PC as a standalone title.
The environments will range from samurai castles, to hot springs, to bullet trains. According to GameTomo, the game is an alternate story campaign rather than a full-fledged sequel, and is made under supervision from the original team. The game won’t support VR for now, and the name is subject to change in the final version.
There will also be new weapons, see-through shoji screens, “and some other surprises”. The game is currently set to release for PlayStation 4 and PC in Japan first, then worldwide.
Escape the “real world” and into the mysterious reality of the new Budd-OS.
The game currently does not have a release date, but you can find the official website here. Superhot JP will be released for PlayStation 4 and PC.
