The C.H.A.R.I.O.T. (that stands for Combat History And Refined Implementation Of Tactics) system in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together let’s players turn back time during a fight. The Prince of Persia style system lets players reverse mistakes or try alternate, hopefully more effective, strategies.

When you use C.H.A.R.I.O.T. a tree diagram pops up showing the flow of battle. You can pick a point and restart the fight from that particular turn. The C.H.A.R.I.O.T. saves the original chain of events too so it’s possible to undo your mulligan if your new strategy doesn’t pan out.

The other time-twisting addition named after a tarot card is W.O.R.L.D., short for Ways Of Reordering Life’s Destiny. This system allows players to see other scenario branches by playing with the Warren Report.
