This week, Taiwanese mobile gaming studio Cayenne’s Ark Mobile announced that it had licensed the rights from Koei Tecmo to make Dead or Alive M (temporary title), a mobile game that will be releasing in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in Q2 2019. [Thanks, Bahamut!]

The plot of Dead or Alive M is supposed to take place after Dead or Alive 5, with the defeat of Phase-4 leading to the organization MIST being disbanded. After defeating Phase-4, a mini black hole opens up that sends Kasumi to a parallel world where Phase-4 is successful in being mass-produced. In this world, Phase-4 is a symbol of fear to its citizens. Furthermore, according to Lisa, the only way for Kasumi to return to her original world is to resolve this incident, so Kasumi is sent to the past to nip the issue in the bud.
