The Nightmare Before Christmas takes place after the events in the movie, where our hero Jack wanders off for another adventure. He returns back to Halloweentown to find that things aren’t as he left them. Now Jack has to go out and hunt Oogie Boogie down with his new toy, the Soul Rubber.
