We recently learnt that Shinobido 2 will be a PlayStation Vita launch game in the U.S. One of the things that sets Shinobido 2 apart from Acquire’s more popular ninja series, Tenchu, is the “Harakiri” system.

The game’s producer, Kazuhiro Watanabe, once told us that in Shinobido 2, there are three factions at war. You can take on missions from all three factions, which will change the outcome of the story and will also have various effects on each of the three factions, depending on what missions you take on.

Speaking with the PlayStation Blog, Watanabase shares that taking on missions from different factions will also prolong the length of the gamhttps://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/10/26/shinobido-2-revenge-of-zen-to-assassinate-enemies-on-ps-vitae. “The player could choose to focus solely on one territorial force for a swift route through the game, but if he takes on missions from all three forces equally, it will prolong the story and allow for the character to develop further,” Watanabe reveals.

Shinobido 2: Revenge of Zen is slated for release alongside the PlayStation Vita on February 22nd, 2012. Namco Bandai will publish the game in the U.S. and Europe.
