It has been 25 years since Kirby’s Dream Land was released on the Game Boy. As part of the 25th anniversary celebration, Nintendo announced three Nintendo 3DS Kirby projects that will be released in 2017, beginning with Team Kirby Clash Deluxe.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe is an expanded, stand-alone version of Team Kirby Clash, a sub-game that appeared in Kirby: Planet Robobot for the Nintendo 3DS. It is a cooperative multiplayer game for up to four players where each member of the team takes a role. (Sword Hero, Hammer Lord, Beam Mage, and Doctor Healmore are available.) They then fight against various bosses in a cooperative battle. It is free-to-start and immediately available in the eShop.

Kirby’s Blowout Blast is another Kirby: Planet Robobot sub-game getting new life as a stand-alone game. In this over 25 level game, players have to help Kirby defeat enemies swiftly and efficiently as they zip through each area. It will launch in Summer 2017.

The third Kirby 25th anniversary game is a bit of a mystery. It will be a multiplayer action game for the Nintendo 3DS. Currently, it has a holiday 2017 launch window.
