The official Twitter account for the game also posted an enigmatic tweet with garbled text, which includes a coded message. The only clear information available is the character shown in the teaser trailer, along with the playable platforms. Japanese Twitter users started to work together to decipher this Alternate Reality Game, with some people managing to find the word “Cicatrix” or “Xicatrice” written in katakana as part of the game’s title in the teaser trailer.

In addition, some Twitter users managed to decode the tweet. It seems to include a hashtag in katakana with the name “Cicatrix” or “Xicatrice” once again, alongside revealing that more information is coming on February 22, 2023 at 12am JST.

Speculation currently seems to point to FuRyu or Nippon Ichi Software as the developers behind this new game. Some of FuRyu’s most recent titles include The Caligula Effect 2 and Monark, which are both RPG games set in schools and involving superpowers. However, this is just speculation and nothing has been confirmed yet.

This new RPG title is being developed for the PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. More information will be available on February 22, 2023.
