Tecmo’s “other” DS games

Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword for the DS got almost all of the attention from Tecmo’s press conference, but Tecmo has two other games that have nothing to do with Ryu Hayabusa. Monster Farm DS (Monster Rancher series) has been in development for quite some time and it is scheduled to come out on July 12, 2007. It’s similar to the other Monster Farm games where you raise and battle a monster except you don’t make Monsters from CDs or DVDs. Instead you create them by drawing on the touch screen. Tecmo’s other DS game is developed by Cing who most recently finished work on Hotel Dusk: Room 215. DS Kyotaro Nishimura Suspense New Detective Series is a mystery game where players solve mysteries with the touch screen. It sounds like Kyotaro Nishimura’s detective game is going to be more interactive than Hotel Dusk Room 215. In between story segments there are mini puzzles to solve like analyzing a crime scene to see if anything has moved and solving a message written in blood. DS Kyotaro Nishimura Suspense New Detective Series is meant for quick play and if Cing is involved it’s a game to keep an eye on.
