Tetris Gets Its Own TV Channel

image You can play Tetris on a TV via a console and soon through Tetris TV, an interactive Tetris television channel. Tetris TV works on a subscription model, so like HBO you need to pay a monthly fee for it. Dish Network, the only service that supports Tetris TV so far, plans to charge $2.99 per month for the extra channel.

Tetris TV has two modes: marathon which has 15 levels and 40-lines a race to see how fast players can clear 40 lines. Subscribers can post their best scores and times on iTV leaderbords. Oberon Media, the company running Tetris TV, plans to offer prizes to top players later in the year.
