The Changes To Bayonetta Chapter 1’s Vigrid Station

As Bayonetta director, Hideki Kamiya, progresses into the first chapter of the game for his developer commentary, we start to see more and more talk of changes to dialogue, differences between Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, and scenes that were cut from the final game.

For instance, Vigrid Station was originally going to have a segment where you would Witch Walk along the side of a train and fight your way back to the area, finding it filled with lava. This was cut from the final version of the game, even though a lot of effort was put into the segment. As usual, Kamiya also discusses hidden items and secrets, and reveals that he wrote Antonio’s notes himself.
