A The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope delay has hit as a result of complications of the COVID-19 pandemic. Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco confirmed the horror game, which is an adventure with quick-time events that plays out along the same lines as Until Dawn, won’t be showing up in Summer 2020 as originally planned. Instead, it is shifting into Fall 2020.

It noted that Supermassive had its staff start working remotely after the pandemic’s range extended in March 2020 and, while things are going well, the game will be delayed.
I’m Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive and Executive Producer on The Dark Pictures Anthology. I hope that you are all safe and well. Our industry, and the entire world, have been faced with an unprecedented situation over the last few months. Since the COVID-19 crisis hit in March, Supermassive Games has had our 200 strong team working from home. Our priority, throughout has been the safety of our team.
We have now been working successfully at home for some time, with the entire team committed to delivering the best possible games. With that in mind it rests with me to make the unfortunate announcement that Little Hope will be delayed past the Summer release already announced, now targeting Fall 2020.
Our priority has been to keep people safe, and that includes actors and stage crews on whose talents we depend so heavily, other workforces external to our business who all help to create the games we make, and all the talented people that work within our studio. We will continue to follow government and industry body advice and will only embark on any element of development when such advice tells that it is safe to do so.

In The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, players follow five people trapped in an unsettling situation. A professor and four students, all of which you will control at various times of the story, are trapped in a town hit by a strange sort of fog. Depending on your choices, the story will change and people could die. Like the previous installment, Man of Medan, you can play with other people locally or online via a Shared Story.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope delay will push the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC into Fall 2020.
