The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki Announced for PS4, Releases Summer 2020 in Japan

Falcom announced The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki for PlayStation 4 as a new entry in the Trails series. “It ends here, and also starts here.” With the Trails series celebrating its 15th anniversary, The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki (Trails of the Beginning) releases in Summer 2020. Without getting into too much story spoilers, we’ll see a new kind of fate with a story that leads to the ending point. In the game, we’ll see how the actions of three main characters get intertwined.

Some do it as the “Hero,”

Some as the “Liberator,”

And some as the “Hermit.”

With a focus switching between the three routes, the game introduces a “Cross Story” system that’ll tell the story in parallel from different perspectives. It features over 50 playable characters, with more on their backgrounds through the “Episode” scenarios. The game introduces numerous new systems that put the Trails series’ strength to use.
