An iconic Neon Genesis Evangelion pair reappeared! Good Smile Company announced a dynamic duo of figures that are based on their Rebuild of Evangelion appearances. The Kaworu Nagisa and Shinji Ikari Nendoroids are available to pre-order through the official shop. Both Shinji and Kaworu are $55.99 each and will ship out in May 2021.

While these two figures are sold separately, they are essentially a matching set. These Shinji and Kaworu figures wear matching plugsuits pulled straight from the film Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. Their Entry Plug Interiors match. Both of them carry spears. Though with Shinji, you get the Spear of Longinus, and Kaworu can wield the Spear of Cassius.

Each one comes with three faceplates. Kaworu has a smiling faceplate, one where he’s both smiling and blushing, and a third where he’s looking sideways (possibly at Shinji). With Shinji, you get a standard smiling faceplate, one where he’s possibly looking to the side (maybe at Kaworu) and blushing, and a third enraged expression.

This is actually the second pair of Rebuild of Evangelion Kaworu and Shinji Nendoroids. The first had the duo in more casual attire. They were still considered a matched set, though being sold separately. They wore matching outfits again and Shinji came with music player earphones that would allow him and Kaworu to sit together on rubble and “listen” to a song together.

Also, should people be keeping track, this means four of the five major pilots from Rebuild of Evangelion have plugsuit version Nendoroids on the way. The Rei Ayanami one will launch in March 2021, with Asuka Shikinami Langley appearing at about the same time. Only Mari Illustrious Makinami has been left out. (Though, she does have her own figma.)

The Rebuild of Evangelion Kaworu Nagisa and Shinji Ikari Nendoroids will be available to pre-order until October 21, 2020 and will launch in May 2021.
