Taito’s Groove Coaster rhythm game series is heading to the Nintendo Switch. Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party will be available through the Japanese Nintendo eShop in November 2019. However, before that, it will appear at Taito’s Tokyo Game Show 2019 booth.

In Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party, people will use the Joy-Cons to go through the songs in time with the beat. This can be done alone, or with up to four people in Everybody Play. In Everybody Play, there is a more relaxed Wai Wai Battle and a more serious and challenging Gachi Battle.

So far, a handful of Touhou and Vocaloid songs have been confirmed. However, Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party has another feature. Some VTubers, Japanese virtual YouTubers, are in the game. This allows you to hear some songs with the original artists performing them or with the VTubers “singing” them. An initial image shows Dennou Shojo Siro, Mirai Akari, and Tsukino Mito. However, the trailer also shows Kizuna Ai standing alongside Hatsune Miku.
