The Prince of Persia Will Fight for Glory in For Honor

The Prince of Persia will be appearing in Ubisoft’s For Honor. Unfortunately, it looks like an army of sand creatures are coming with him. Here’s a look at the Prince’s new crossover event, aptly titled the Blades of Persia:

The Prince of Persia franchise hasn’t received a game in a very long time. The last new title was Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, which released in 2010 for systems like the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3, and PC. However, that was almost a decade ago.

After that, there wasn’t much news until 2020’s Prince of Persia: Dagger of Time VR Escape Room was announced. The escape room is set to debut in over 300 global locations in Spring 2020.

While the Prince’s inclusion in For Honor has a time limit, this event still offers a way to interact with his character and the franchise, even if this isn’t a new game. There is a new mode for For Honor called Ruler of Time. Players will fight against sand creatures in the capture-the-flag style Dominion matches on the Harbor map, which has been altered by a sandstorm.

Interestingly, a vicious sand tornado will be present on the map, hiding a surprise inside. Occasionally, the Prince of Persia himself will step out of the sand tornado. Armed with the Dagger of Time and its unique powers, he’ll start to hunt and attack players, regardless of which side they’re on. Finishing off the Prince will net the successful team a ton of points to help them towards victory.

Additionally, after the first week of the Prince’s event, the Harbor map will change, as will the Prince. He’ll turn into the merciless Dark Prince. This twist will begin on March 19, 2020.

In addition to the new mode, the Prince’s event will add 26 new loot weapons to battles. A free Event Pass will also let players earn 30 tiers of gear and loot. This includes a new battle outfit, ornaments, and a new effect. In addition, players can also purchase two new Prince of Persia related outfits from the in-game store. Players will also be able to purchase the execution used by the Prince and the Dark Prince in combat.

The Prince of Persia will fight for glory until April 2, 2020. For Honor is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
