The meaning behind NIS’ new website has been made clear. The company is preparing a third entry in its ClaDun series. ClaDun Sengoku takes players into Arcanus Cella’s past, with people getting to create custom characters, place them on magic circles to strengthen them, then head into randomly generated dungeons.

In keeping with the new theme, there will be an assortment of new classes based on the Sengoku period. The seven character classes are aristocrat, corrupt priest, merchant, onmyoji, samurai, sorcerer, swordsman, and corrupt priest. These characters can then equip bows, blunt weapons kusarigama sickles with chains attached, short swords, shurikens, spears, staves, and swords. In this entry, people can destroy walls with some weapons.

As in previous games, ClaDun Sengoku will have some multiplayer elements. People will be able to connect locally over ad-hoc wireless for cooperative and competitive multiplayer, though a national ranking system was also mentioned.

ClaDun Sengoku will come to PlayStation Vitas in Japan on May 26, 2016. A worldwide release has yet to be announced. Launch copies include the game’s soundtrack. The website currently has a YouTube video embedded that plays almost six minutes worth of music from the game.
