Instead of Social Links, Persona 5’s Phantom Thieves find themselves forming relationships with confidants. These characters not only offer additional side stories to pursue, but various bonuses that apply in and out of battle when befriended. We’ve already met Sojiro Sakura, Munehisa Iwai, Tae Takemi, Hifumi Togo, Sadayo Kawakami, and Toranosuke Yoshida. Today, we’re meeting Chihaya Mifune, Ichiko Ohya, and Yuuki Mishima.
Chihaya Mifune is a fortune teller working in Shinjuku. Spend some time with her, and she’ll tell your future with her tarot cards. These are no ordinary readings, though. When you visit after befriending her, you’ll be able to add buffs to Persona 5’s hero, increasing social stat growth rates or confidant bonds.
Ichiko Ohya is a journalist who likes to spend time in Shinjuku’s Crossroads Bar. If you supply her with information on your Phantom Thief heists and get to know her, you’ll get abilities that will influence Palaces’ security levels during heists, making it easier to get your jobs done.
Yuuki Mishima is the manager of Persona 5’s Phantom Thieves Aficionado Website. It’s called a Phan-Site for short. After your classmate learns what your group is up to, you can befriend him and earn in-battle buffs that increase earned experience for active members and lets inactive party members earn experience too.
Persona 5 will come to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on April 4, 2017.
