Tomb Raider sales appear to be going well so far. Karl Stewart, global brand director at Crystal Dynamics, tweeted this morning: “Wow, 1m gamers playing in less than 48hrs!”

It isn’t clear if Stewart the 1 million figure from store sales or simply the number of gamers online that are playing the game, but he did add: “Hearing some stores are running low..more copies are on the way!”

Tomb Raider was released on March 5th for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game is a reboot of the Tomb Raider series, featuring a new origin story for Lara Croft. You can catch up with our interview with the director here.
